SoftPro review
SoftPro is a Title Production product from Fidelity National Financial. MortgageTechReview scores SoftPro 4.3 out of 5.0, ranking SoftPro #3 of the 12 products tracked in Title Production Software, as of August 11, 2026. Scores on MortgageTechReview are weighted across five axes and are never paid for or influenced by a vendor relationship.
SoftPro is the long-standing alternative to Qualia, picked by buyers who will not bend their process to a platform. Fidelity National Financial bought it from LPS in 2012 and still owns it. Say that plainly: your title production vendor is a subsidiary of a title underwriter. The line runs from Standard through Select to a Hosted cloud build. SoftPro 360 handles vendor and underwriter ordering and ClosingsLIVE covers borrower communication, with SoftPro Sign and SoftPro Banking behind them. Customisation is the reason to buy it and the reason implementations run long.

Production impact
30% of scoreA well-configured SoftPro shop moves files fast. Data is entered once and carried across modules, and workflow is configurable rather than fixed. The company states more than 14,000 customer sites and over 60,000 users nationwide, a large installed base, which says the pattern holds in production and not just in a demo. The gain is a function of configuration quality, not something delivered on day one. Shops that never finished configuring it produce no better than before.
Functionality and depth
25% of scoreThe line runs from Standard, which suits a small agency, through Select for a heavily customised enterprise, to a Hosted cloud build. Commercial and residential closings are both handled. SoftPro 360 covers vendor and underwriter ordering, ClosingsLIVE covers borrower communication, and SoftPro Sign and SoftPro Banking sit behind them. Deep customisation with a real on-premise option is rare in a cloud-only category, and it matters if you keep trust accounting off other people’s clouds. Customisation is also why implementations run long.
Integrations and ecosystem
20% of scoreSoftPro 360 is a working vendor ordering marketplace reaching title, electronic closing, identity and search providers, and Wells Fargo was recently added on the SoftPro Banking side. CertifID’s PayoffProtect is built directly into the interface rather than run alongside it, a real distinction for wire fraud control. The count is the limit. Third-party comparisons put it near thirty against Qualia’s hundred-plus, so check your own vendors against the directory before assuming coverage.
Adoption and support
15% of scoreThis is where SoftPro loses ground. Its G2 rating sits near 4.1 against Qualia’s 4.7, reviewers describe a steeper learning curve, and requests for interface and processing speed improvements recur rather than appearing once. The product rewards firms with an internal administrator and frustrates those without one. What keeps it respectable is the installed base: with more than 14,000 sites, the training problem is well-worn ground rather than uncharted.
Return on spend
10% of scoreTiered editions mean a small agency does not have to buy the enterprise configuration, which makes the entry point more forgiving than a single-platform rival. No pricing is published for any edition, and the total still includes configuration labor, with on-premise shops maintaining their own infrastructure. Set against that, not being forced into somebody else’s process has value that never appears on an invoice, and for the firms that choose SoftPro it is the whole reason.
On price. Not published. SoftPro sells multiple editions and quotes each one, with no figures anywhere on its site. Third-party comparisons describe tiered pricing with usage components, but that description comes from a competitor, not SoftPro.
