Rocket Close review
Rocket Close is a Title Production product from Rocket Companies. MortgageTechReview scores Rocket Close 2.6 out of 5.0, ranking Rocket Close #10 of the 12 products tracked in Title Production Software, as of August 11, 2026. Scores on MortgageTechReview are weighted across five axes and are never paid for or influenced by a vendor relationship.
Rocket Close is the renamed Amrock, the title and settlement arm of Rocket Companies. It also handles appraisals. It is a service business, not licensable software: brokers order through the Rocket Pro Portal, and lenders receive fulfilment. Judged as a title vendor, it has national scale and a tight loop with Rocket Mortgage. That is genuinely useful if your volume already flows through that channel. On a title production software shortlist it does not belong; Qualia or SoftPro is a different kind of purchase.

Rocket Close wins 0 of 5 axes against Qualia, on the weight profile published for this category. Full head-to-head →
Where it wins
- Direct fulfilment tie into Rocket Mortgage and the Rocket Pro Portal
- National scale in title, appraisal, settlement and signing from one provider
- Ordering lives in a portal brokers already open daily, so adoption costs nothing
- Listed parent Rocket Companies means public financial disclosure
Where it falls short
- Not software a lender or agency licenses and operates
- No LOS connection, partner directory, API or ordering interface is named publicly
- Value depends on already originating through the Rocket channel
- Competing lenders would route settlement work to a competitor's subsidiary
Why it scores 2.6
Scored on the Title & Closing Production weight profile. The number shows where it sits in this category. It rests on evidence anyone can check, including the vendor's own record. The weights →
Production impact
30% of scoreVertical integration with one of the country’s largest retail originators is a real turn-time advantage, and it is the one thing here that plainly works. When the loan sits inside the Rocket ecosystem, Rocket controls both ends of the handoff and absorbs coordination cost an independent title vendor carries. Step outside that channel and the advantage goes with it. Nothing published quantifies the effect for a third-party lender, and no ordering interface is named for one to use.
Functionality and depth
25% of scoreTitle insurance, settlement, signing and appraisal are all here, with workflow tools for notaries and appraisers. None of it is software a lender or an agency licenses and operates. There is no title production system to configure, no escrow accounting, no published API surface. Depth here is service capability rather than software features, and a title production shortlist is asking a different question. Qualia or SoftPro is a different kind of purchase entirely.
Integrations and ecosystem
20% of scoreThe Rocket Pro Portal is the whole integration story and it points inward. Nothing on the site names an LOS connection, a partner directory, an ordering API or any route in for a lender outside the Rocket channel. That is the deliberate design of a captive fulfilment arm, not an oversight. Judged in a category where reach is exactly what buyers are shopping for, a closed door scores near the bottom whatever the reason it is closed.
Adoption and support
15% of scoreFor brokers already inside Rocket Pro, ordering title is a few clicks in software they open daily and adoption costs nothing. For everyone else there is no adoption path at all, because no ordering interface is named publicly. Support is that of a large national fulfilment operation, with the consistency and the escalation distance that implies. No service level data is published by Rocket or by anyone independent.
Return on spend
10% of scoreThere is no license to evaluate, so return comes down to fee competitiveness and turn time on your own files against your current provider. The hidden cost never appears on the invoice. For a lender chasing the same borrowers as Rocket Mortgage, routing settlement work to a competitor’s subsidiary is a strategy decision rather than a procurement one. And the operational benefit only lands if your volume already flows through the Rocket channel.
On price. Nothing published. Title and escrow fees are quoted per transaction, and appraisal fees are too. They vary by state and product, and the site shows no rate information at all.
