Stavvy review

Stavvy · Stavvy, Inc. Documents & eClosing Reviewed stavvy.com ↗
In short

Stavvy is a Mortgage Document & eClosing product from Stavvy, Inc.. MortgageTechReview scores Stavvy 3.9 out of 5.0, ranking Stavvy #8 of the 21 products tracked in Mortgage Document & eClosing Software, as of August 11, 2026. Scores on MortgageTechReview are weighted across five axes and are never paid for or influenced by a vendor relationship.

The verdict

Stavvy closes loans and also works the servicing side, which sets it apart in this category. It sells hybrid and full eClosing, eNote and eVault custody, RON and in-person electronic notarization. A SMART Doc engine plus HELOC and HELOAN closings round out origination. Buy it if you want loss mitigation and closings from one vendor, because few competitors offer both. PHH Mortgage went live on its loan modification product, built on Brace, in September 2025. Integration evidence stays thin, with an Encompass integration announced in February 2025 but no published partner matrix.

Where it wins

  • Default servicing and origination closings run on one platform after the 2023 Brace deal.
  • PHH Mortgage went live on its loan modification product in September 2025.
  • The February 2025 Encompass integration uses Partner Connect, the current ICE path.
  • Buying SigniaDocuments in November 2023 brought document generation in-house.

Where it falls short

  • No pricing appears anywhere, not even a per-closing fee.
  • Beyond Encompass, the site names no other system and publishes no integrations page.
  • Funding and ownership go undisclosed on the site and the press page.
  • News slowed sharply between 2023 and 2025, with only a handful of announcements.

3.8

Production impact

25% of score

The strong claim here is default servicing, not the standard closing pitch. Every peer promises fewer wet signatures and shorter cycle times, at a lower cost per file. Stavvy’s edge is loss mitigation, where packages traditionally go out by mail and crawl back over weeks. The September 2025 PHH launch puts a named servicer behind that claim. Nothing quantified is published, so the score rests on a believable mechanism, not measured results.

4.4

Functionality and depth

30% of score

The closing toolkit runs wider than the company’s size suggests. Hybrid and full eClosing, eNote, eVault, RON, in-person electronic notarization and eSign cover execution. The SMART Doc engine and the SigniaDocuments purchase bring document generation in-house. An Eligibility Engine tracks what closes which way in each state. Past first liens it also handles HELOC and HELOAN closings and digital default servicing. Two acquisitions inside four months of 2023 built much of that, so watch the seams in a demo.

3.6

Integrations and ecosystem

20% of score

The Encompass work is current, and that is the headline. The February 2025 integration uses the Partner Connect API framework, not an older mechanism, which matters for maintainability. Title relationships with WFG National Title and Doma show the platform inside real closings. Lender work with OriginPoint and Rate points the same way. What is missing is a published integrations page. A buyer cannot check coverage of their own title system or servicing platform without asking.

3.8

Adoption and support

10% of score

A borrower who signed a closing here meets the same interface again at a loan modification. The second experience inherits familiarity from the first, which counts in default servicing where nobody wants to learn anything new. Title and settlement partners get their own product path. Against that, a platform assembled from two acquisitions risks inconsistent screens between modules, and no independent review base exists to check support quality at scale.

3.6

Return on spend

15% of score

One contract covering origination closings and default servicing should cost less than two. That is the value case, and it only pays if you run both sides. A monoline originator will find narrower competitors cheaper. No pricing appears anywhere, not even a per-closing fee, and funding and ownership go undisclosed, so you negotiate without a benchmark. PHH Mortgage went live on the modification product in September 2025 and is the reference worth chasing on cost.

On price. Nothing is published, so every number comes from a quote. The platform spans origination as well as home equity and default servicing. Ask whether those are licensed separately. Ask how eNote issuance and eVault custody are billed against closing volume.
