MeridianLink Price My Loan wins 4 of 5 axes. Same rubric, same weights, no sponsorships.
The commercial model splits these two immediately
MeridianLink markets PriceMyLoan as a no-fee pricing engine built natively inside its own mortgage LOS. LoanPASS sells a standalone engine that connects to whatever LOS a lender already runs. That single difference moves cost per lock more than any feature comparison will. A shop already on MeridianLink Mortgage is weighing an included tool against a new line item.
The two are not mutually exclusive. LoanPASS names MeridianLink LOS among its integrations on its own conventional pricing page. So a MeridianLink lender can bolt on LoanPASS for product the native engine does not carry. The real question is how much of your lock volume falls outside agency.
Where PriceMyLoan earns its keep
MeridianLink’s own FAQ says PriceMyLoan is more than a pricing engine. It combines underwriting, product pricing, closing cost fee generation and margin management in one tool. The stated payoff is higher pull-through, shorter cycle times and fewer buybacks. Those claims carry no published method and should be read as vendor stated.
The fee generation piece is the practical draw for a retail desk. Pricing and closing costs computed together cut a common cause of redisclosure. On 4 August 2026 MeridianLink shipped in-application product and pricing views for originators. Pricing comparison now sits inside the application workflow itself.
What LoanPASS was built around
LoanPASS pairs a no-code rules engine with an automated underwriting service. Lenders configure eligibility, LLPAs and investor overlays without waiting on a developer. The company states pricing returns in under one second. It also claims about 150,000 scenarios priced weekly and roughly 99.99 percent historical uptime. All three are vendor stated and unverified.
In May 2025 LoanPASS acquired PMI Rate Pro, a Kansas fintech quoting mortgage insurance through one API. Terms were not disclosed. That deal put MI quoting and ordering on the same screen as product pricing.
Non-QM and business purpose lending is the real dividing line
LoanPASS publishes dedicated pages for non-QM and business purpose lending. It names DSCR, bank statement, asset depletion, foreign national, ITIN and fix-and-flip. Its LoanCOMPASS tool claims over 900 niche products across more than 50 correspondent investors. That count is vendor stated with no third-party check.
In May 2026 Dynamo Capital selected LoanPASS for bridge, fix-and-flip and ground-up construction lending. In January 2026 LoanPASS and FICO launched batch pricing for FICO Score 10T on non-conforming loans. MeridianLink publishes nothing comparable for PriceMyLoan on investor property or private credit product.
Ownership and who is steering each roadmap
Centerbridge completed its take-private of MeridianLink on 24 October 2025 at $20.00 per share. The deal valued the company at $2.0 billion, with Silversmith also participating. Larry Katz became chief executive on 1 October 2025, succeeding Nicolaas Vlok. Mortgage is one segment inside a platform serving credit unions, banks and auto lenders.
LoanPASS was founded in 2019 in Miami and remains founder-led under Bill Roy. It publishes no funding rounds and names no institutional owner. Buyers who care about balance sheet depth should put that question directly to the company.
What neither company publishes
Neither vendor posts a price on its own site. Software Advice lists MeridianLink Mortgage from $20,000 with pricing available on request. LoanPASS routes buyers to a scheduled call with no rate card. Ask both for cost per lock at your actual monthly volume. Ask what rule changes and new investor sheets cost after go-live.
Third-party review coverage is thin on both sides. MeridianLink Mortgage shows 4.1 from 36 reviews on G2. LoanPASS has no G2 profile at all. Neither publishes a full named list of the investors its engine prices today.
Which one to pick
A retail agency lender already running MeridianLink Mortgage should stay on PriceMyLoan. Paying separately for pricing is hard to justify when the bundled engine covers the mix. A non-QM, DSCR or business purpose lender should shortlist LoanPASS instead. Rule configuration speed governs how fast new programs reach the street.
Ask MeridianLink whether PriceMyLoan can be licensed apart from the LOS, and on what terms. Ask LoanPASS to configure a live DSCR product with LLPAs during the demo call.
