Scale claims against speed claims

Lender Price sells breadth.

LoanPASS sells configuration control and response time.

Lender Price claims over $300 billion in locked volume and more than 400 customers.

LoanPASS claims more than 150,000 loan scenarios priced per week.

It also claims roughly 99.99 percent historical uptime and pricing latency under 1s.

Every one of those figures is vendor stated and unverified.

Neither company publishes the measurement window or the method.

Latency matters most on consumer-facing quotes, where abandonment tracks response time.

Who actually owns each company

Lender Price operates under Cre8tech Labs, Inc. and is based in Pasadena, California.

Dawar Alimi is chief executive and president.

The last disclosed capital raise was a 2017 round of $5 million to $10 million.

LoanPASS discloses no investors or ownership structure on its site.

Bill Roy founded it and serves as chief executive.

LoanPASS bought PMI Rate Pro on 12 May 2025 without disclosing terms.

A buyer should ask both for balance sheet comfort before signing a multi-year term.

Private ownership with no disclosed backers is not a red flag by itself.

It does mean references and contract protections carry more weight.

Non-QM and business purpose flow decides much of this

LoanPASS targets non-QM, DSCR, fix and flip, reverse, HELOC and construction alongside agency product.

Its argument is that one rules engine handles portfolio and secondary market product together.

Lender Price runs a separate FLEX non-QM engine plus marketplaces that recruit niche sellers.

Finance of America, Luminate Bank, Castor Financial, REAL TPO and HighTechLending joined those marketplaces.

Distribution and pricing are different problems.

Lenders that originate niche product care about rules depth, not seller recruitment.

Decisioning and mortgage insurance sit inside one of them

LoanPASS bundles a rules-based automated underwriting service with the engine.

The PMI Rate Pro purchase pulled mortgage insurance quoting in house.

That reduces the number of calls between pricing, eligibility and the insurance quote.

Lender Price answers with AILA, an AI assistant, and a Model Context Protocol server launched 5 May 2026.

That server lets AI agents query rates, products and guidelines in natural language.

The two bets differ, and a buyer should test both against real scenarios.

What transparent pricing does and does not mean

LoanPASS uses the phrase transparent pricing on its homepage.

Read that carefully.

The claim covers margins, eligibility and exceptions that the lender configures without vendor lock.

It is not a published rate card for the software itself.

Lender Price publishes no price either.

Ask both for per-lock and per-seat rates, annual minimums, and implementation fees in writing.

Ask what changes when your lock count doubles.

Integration lists a buyer can verify

LoanPASS shows partner logos for Encompass, MeridianLink, nCino, Vesta, Wilqo, CoreLogic and FICO.

It also shows the mortgage insurers and both agencies.

MeridianLink promotes LoanPASS to banks and credit unions as a marketplace partner.

Lender Price is also a MeridianLink marketplace partner, so both compete inside that base.

Lender Price names Byte, Encompass, LendingPad, Constellation and Roostify in announcements.

Neither vendor separates certified integrations from one-off custom work.

Support load and what breaks under heavy volume

Rate sheet maintenance is where pricing engines usually fail a lender.

LoanPASS staffs a vice president of guideline management, which signals in-house rule upkeep.

Lender Price runs marketplaces where sellers upload rate sheets once and the system updates them.

Those are different answers to the same operational problem.

Neither vendor publishes turnaround times for adding a new investor or program.

Ask each one for a written service level on rate sheet changes.

Ask what happens when an investor publishes an intraday reprice.

Then confirm who absorbs the cost of that work.

Which one to pick

A lender running heavy business purpose, DSCR and non-QM flow should shortlist LoanPASS.

A large bank or wholesale shop needing broad channel coverage should shortlist Lender Price.

Ask LoanPASS for uptime and latency evidence covering the past 90 days.

Ask Lender Price how FLEX and the enterprise engine share rules and margin tables.

Then run the same twenty scenarios through both and compare eligibility outcomes.
