Who owns each one, and why the answer surprises buyers
Ownership decides who you escalate to when a funding month goes wrong. Floify is a Porch Group subsidiary. Porch acquired it on 27 October 2021 for $76.5 million cash plus $10 million in stock. Floify still appears in Porch Group’s subsidiary exhibit filed on 20 February 2026. Porch reported a Floify net promoter score of 61 on its August 2026 earnings call.
Cloudvirga is owned by Stewart Information Services Corporation, the title insurer. Stewart’s subsidiary exhibit at 31 December 2025 lists CloudVirga, Inc. as a Delaware entity. Cloudvirga’s own press boilerplate says the same. Yet parts of cloudvirga.com still present the original founders and no parent at all. That page is stale, and buyers repeat the error. A title underwriter owns this borrower portal, and buyers should price that in.
The LOS list that decides your shortlist
Floify names six loan origination systems on its own site. Those are ByteSoftware, MeridianLink Mortgage, Encompass, Vesta, LendingPad and focusIT. The same names reappear as monitored components on its status page. That is a useful cross check on which connections are live.
Cloudvirga names Encompass and very little else. Its 2025 announcements cover Encompass Partner Connect, Encompass Docs Solution and ICE product and pricing. No Byte, Vesta, LendingPad or Calyx work appears in public material. Run Encompass and both vendors stay in play. Run anything else and Cloudvirga becomes a custom build conversation.
Uptime, published on one side and silent on the other
Floify operates a public status page. It showed all systems operational and 99.99% uptime across the prior 90 days. On 13 August 2026 realtors and partners could not generate pre-approval letters for roughly three hours. Third party monitor StatusGator has logged more than 573 outages affecting Floify users since March 2022.
That count is uncomfortable. It also exists because Floify publishes enough for anyone to tally. No public Cloudvirga status page was found. Zero disclosed incidents is not the same as zero incidents.
Price, one public figure against nothing at all
Floify publishes no price on floify.com. The pricing page routes to a demo request and a sales phone number. Capterra records a starting figure of $79 per user, per month. Treat that as an entry point for small shops, not an enterprise quote.
Cloudvirga publishes nothing. G2 states that pricing and plan availability are not listed by the vendor. Ask both for a written cost per funded loan at your real volume. Ask for the implementation fee, the seat minimum, the contract term and the renewal uplift cap.
A review trail thin enough to worry about
Floify carries 74 reviews at 4.8 out of 5 on Capterra, and 57 reviews at 4.8 on G2. That is a workable sample for a portal of this size.
Cloudvirga Enterprise POS carries one G2 review, scored 5.0. No Capterra listing was found for it. One review tells a buyer almost nothing about pull-through or support quality. Ask Cloudvirga for three references running your LOS at your monthly unit count.
Claims that arrive without a method behind them
Floify’s site claims loans reach clear to close 7.5 days faster. It also claims an 84% efficiency gain for brokers and 97.6% customer satisfaction. Its February 2026 release claims manual data entry cut by more than half. All of these are vendor stated and unverified.
Cloudvirga publishes fewer numbers and no method either. Its Tropos and Loan Hub launches carry no adoption or performance figures. Neither set of claims lets you model application completion rate or cost per funded loan. Demand the baseline, the sample size and the date range behind every figure quoted.
Which one to pick
A broker shop or small independent bank on Byte, LendingPad or focusIT should pick Floify. The integration already exists, a price floor is public, and the status page is real. A large retail lender already committed to Encompass can shortlist Cloudvirga. That case gets stronger if Stewart already handles your title and valuation work.
Ask Floify to explain the 573 logged outages since March 2022 and what has changed since. Ask Cloudvirga for a written uptime commitment, service credits and a 12 month incident history, given no status page exists.
