MeridianLink Price My Loan wins 4 of 5 axes. Same rubric, same weights, no sponsorships.

Free inside an LOS against paid and standalone

MeridianLink markets PriceMyLoan as a no-fee engine built natively inside its own origination system.

Polly sells a standalone engine that any origination system can call.

That single fact decides much of the evaluation.

PriceMyLoan carries no separate engine invoice, so the cost sits inside LOS licensing.

Polly carries its own contract and its own renewal.

The tradeoff is portability against a smaller vendor bill.

What each vendor sells beyond pricing

Polly runs a loan trading exchange, analytics and AI tooling alongside the engine.

It describes itself as connected from rate lock through loan sale and delivery.

MeridianLink sells origination software across mortgage and consumer lending, with pricing as one component.

PriceMyLoan prices multiple product types from a single system.

MeridianLink acquired Credit Mountain on 31 July 2026 to work declined applications.

The two roadmaps aim at different parts of the loan lifecycle.

Polly also runs data and analytics tooling aimed at the secondary desk.

MeridianLink spreads its build across consumer, mortgage and deposit origination.

Private equity owner against venture backers

Centerbridge Partners took MeridianLink private on 24 October 2025 at $20.00 per share.

The deal valued the company at $2.0 billion.

Larry Katz became chief executive on 1 October 2025, succeeding Nicolaas Vlok.

Co-founder Tim Nguyen moved to a strategic advisor role.

A chief revenue officer and a chief transformation officer arrived on 1 July 2026.

Polly has raised more than $75 million across three rounds since 2019.

Menlo Ventures led a $37 million Series B in January 2022, and 8VC led $25 million in September 2024.

Integration reach and a shared board seat

Polly publishes a network page naming more than 60 partners.

MeridianLink appears on that list, so the two already interoperate.

Polly also names ICE Mortgage Technology, Blend, nCino, Tavant, Vesta and Total Expert.

MeridianLink promotes competing engines including Lender Price and LoanPASS to its own base.

Jonathan Corr sits on both the MeridianLink board and the Polly board.

Buyers should read that as an industry small enough to require careful reference checks.

Growth claims neither publishes with method

MeridianLink says it serves more than 1,800 community financial institutions representing 78 million credit union members.

Polly publishes no customer count or lock volume on its site.

Trade coverage of the 2024 raise reported locked volume growth above 150 percent for that year.

All of these figures are vendor stated and unverified.

Capterra shows MeridianLink Mortgage at 4.5 across 15 reviews, covering the origination system rather than the engine.

Polly appears in the G2 loan pricing category with no rating and no reviews.

Cost per lock without a published rate card

Neither vendor publishes prices.

Ask MeridianLink for the LOS quote with and without PriceMyLoan enabled.

That reveals whether no-fee means free or simply bundled.

Ask Polly to split the quote between engine, trading exchange and analytics.

Confirm whether trading carries per-loan charges in addition to the subscription.

Then convert both quotes into cost per lock at your own annual volume.

Implementation and migration charges belong in that same calculation.

Switching cost if the origination system changes

PriceMyLoan travels with MeridianLink Mortgage and does not travel without it.

A lender that later moves origination systems has to replace pricing at the same time.

That doubles the size of an already painful project.

Polly keeps pricing separate, so an LOS change does not force an engine change.

MeridianLink itself promotes competing engines including Lender Price and LoanPASS.

That proves the bundle is a choice rather than a requirement.

Price the exit, not just the entry.

Which one to pick

A community bank or credit union standardising on MeridianLink should stay with PriceMyLoan.

An independent mortgage banker that hedges and sells loans should pick Polly.

Ask MeridianLink which product types PriceMyLoan prices without custom configuration work.

Ask Polly for median pricing response times and uptime across the past 90 days.

Then weigh the switching cost of an engine tied to one origination system.
