Venture backed against founder owned
Reggora raised a 30 million dollar Series B in January 2021, led by Spark Capital. Boston Seed, 1984, Shine Capital and Greenpoint Partners also took part. The company stated it had raised more than 45 million dollars in total. Brian Zitin remains chief executive and was quoted in February 2026. ValueLink took a different route. It was founded in 2010 by Farrukh Omar and runs from Houston. Its company page states it is a division of Spur Global Ventures Inc. No outside funding round has been announced. Will Denslow co-founded the company and holds the chief technology role.
Who the software is actually sold to
Reggora positions itself for mortgage lenders, servicers and appraisers. ValueLink sells across a wider set of buyers. Core, its 2010 product, targets appraisal management companies. Direct, released in 2014, targets lenders. Omni is scoped for small banks, brokers and credit unions. Connect is appraiser office software on a separate domain. An AMC evaluating both will find ValueLink built for that buyer. A retail lender will find Reggora built around its workflow. That difference in origin shapes every screen in each product. Ask each vendor for a reference that matches your own buyer type.
Encompass depth against integration breadth
Reggora signed an enterprise agreement with ICE Mortgage Technology in April 2022. The integration uses the Encompass Partner Connect API and covers Encompass and LO Connect. Reggora says users reach full platform function without leaving Encompass. That spans retail, wholesale and consumer direct channels. ValueLink counters with breadth rather than depth. It names Encompass, Byte Software, Dark Matter Technologies and Vesta. It also names MeridianLink Mortgage, Calyx, FICS and Blue Sage Solutions. ValueLink also lists Reggora itself as a connected ordering platform.
Quality control before the file moves
ValueLink puts real weight here. CrossCheck EDGE claims 65 percent faster reviews and 95 percent United States coverage. Its photo models are said to be trained on more than a million appraisal images. It checks against a claimed 1,000 plus GSE rules and flags bias language. Auto submission to UCDP and EAD is included, with UAD 3.6 support. Reggora publishes far less detail about its review layer on publicly rendering pages. Ask both for a revision rate comparison on identical files.
Inspection coverage after the Appreeze deal
Reggora closed its acquisition of Appreeze in early January 2026 and announced it that February. Appreeze built virtual inspection infrastructure for the mortgage and appraisal trade. Reggora said the technology supports virtual 1004Ds and desktop appraisal. It also expects less scheduling friction for borrowers. That narrows a gap against ValueLink, which routes inspection work through partners. ProxyPics and Asteroom both appear on ValueLink’s integrations page. Neither company employs appraisers. Neither is a licensed appraisal management company. Harrison Kennedy and Rahul Rudra founded Appreeze and joined Reggora.
Cost per file claims and what backs them
Reggora’s headline number came from sponsored HousingWire coverage in September 2022. It claimed up to 258 dollars in savings per file. No method or sample was published with it. ValueLink claims a 71 percent turnaround reduction for lenders. It claims a 49 percent operating cost cut for AMCs. Those carry no method either. Every one of these figures is vendor stated and unverified. Ask for the underlying calculation and the loan count behind each percentage.
Neither vendor posts a rate card
Reggora shows no public pricing page. ValueLink routes every product page to a demo request. Ask both for the per order platform fee at your monthly volume. Ask whether appraisal payment processing carries a separate take rate. Ask what the LOS integration build costs and how long it takes. Ask for the contract length and any volume floor.
Which one to pick
A retail lender running Encompass and wanting fewer clicks should shortlist Reggora. The Partner Connect work goes deeper than a file handoff. An appraisal management company, or a lender on a less common LOS, should shortlist ValueLink. Its named connector list is public and longer. Ask Reggora which loan origination systems beyond Encompass are live today. Ask ValueLink how many listed integrations are certified builds rather than generic order files.
