Valligent review
Valligent is a Appraisal Management product from Veros Real Estate Solutions. MortgageTechReview scores Valligent 2.5 out of 5.0, ranking Valligent #18 of the 21 products tracked in Appraisal Management Software, as of August 11, 2026. Scores on MortgageTechReview are weighted across five axes and are never paid for or influenced by a vendor relationship.
Valligent no longer exists as an independent company. Veros acquired it in 2022, and valligent.com now redirects rather than operating on its own. What Valligent brought was the human side of valuation, none of which Veros previously had. That means traditional appraisal, desktop and hybrid formats, equity lending evaluations, plus appraisal management and regulatory audit work. The 2023 integration announced under the Valligent name put that range inside ICE's Encompass. Evaluate and contract it as a Veros product line, because that is what it is now.

Valligent wins 0 of 5 axes against Clear Capital, on the weight profile published for this category. Full head-to-head →
Where it wins
- Filled the one Veros gap by adding appraiser-completed products to an analytics business.
- Covers evaluations and desktop products, what home equity lenders need under interagency guidelines.
- Reachable inside Encompass after the 2023 ICE Mortgage Technology integration.
- Sits beside Veros review tooling, so one supplier produces and then checks valuations.
Where it falls short
- The brand is absorbed: no standalone Valligent product, site or contract exists.
- Anything published before 2022 describes a company that no longer sets its roadmap.
- No turn-time, capacity or geographic coverage figures are published for the operation.
- Pricing disappears into a broader Veros conversation, hard to benchmark against standalone AMCs.
Why it scores 2.5
Scored on the Appraisal & Valuation weight profile. The number shows where it sits in this category. It rests on evidence anyone can check, including the vendor's own record. The weights →
Production impact
30% of scoreValligent adds coverage to Veros, not speed. Customers get appraiser-completed reports, desktop and hybrid formats and evaluations alongside the automated models, which matters in home equity where an evaluation stands in for an appraisal under the interagency guidelines. Days come out of the file when that swap applies. Nothing else supports the case. No turn-time, capacity or coverage figures are published for the operation, so the argument stays structural.
Functionality and depth
15% of scoreThe range is broad on paper: traditional appraisal, desktop and hybrid formats, evaluations for equity lending, appraisal management, quality control and regulatory audit. Paired with Veros review tooling, one supplier both produces a valuation and audits it. The problem is that you cannot scope it. The brand was absorbed in 2022, no standalone Valligent product or documentation exists, and what remains is scattered through Veros material.
Integrations and ecosystem
15% of scoreThe 2023 integration with ICE Mortgage Technology put the range inside Encompass, and that was the distribution logic of the acquisition. Ordering otherwise runs through VeroSELECT. Beyond ICE, no other origination system is named publicly, and there is no standalone Valligent connector to ask about. You are buying into whatever the Veros ordering platform reaches.
Adoption and support
15% of scoreThe support relationship is with Veros. Account structure, service levels and escalation all come from there, and Veros publishes nothing about onboarding specific to this line. Anything a buyer read about Valligent as an independent hybrid appraisal specialist predates 2022 and should not shape expectations. There is no Valligent site, contract or product left to hold anyone to.
Return on spend
25% of scoreEvaluations and desktop products cost materially less than full appraisals, and for a home equity or portfolio lender that is where the return lives. Benchmarking it is the difficulty. The appraisal component disappears into a broader Veros quote with no standalone pricing published. Ask for it broken out before comparing against a standalone AMC, because otherwise the comparison cannot be made.
On price. Quote only, and now folded into Veros commercial terms. No fee schedule or minimum is published for any product that carried the Valligent name. No turn-time service level appears either.
