Build the operation or hand it over
ValueLink is the software an AMC runs. Clear Capital is an AMC. ValueLink sells to lenders, AMCs and appraisers as an appraisal management platform. Clear Capital holds an appraisal management company licence with nationwide coverage. It also runs a separate staff appraisal firm for large lender customers. Buying ValueLink means owning the panel, the compliance file and vendor payment. Buying Clear Capital means paying per order and owning none of that.
Three editions for three different buyers
ValueLink Direct is the lender edition. ValueLink Core is the AMC edition. ValueLink Connect is the appraiser edition. CrossCheck handles review and compliance. Cogent covers data and insights. The site publishes UAD 3.6 compliance material for the November 2026 mandate. ValueLink cites two to three hours of manual work per loan file when systems do not connect. That figure is vendor stated and carries no published method.
Clear Capital sells the work, not the workflow tool
Appraisal lines run traditional, desktop, hybrid and flex. Hybrid appraisal is described as up to 50 percent faster than traditional. Universal Data Collection carries a stated three day average turn time. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac verified that solution against UPDR in June 2026. ClearAVM, Rental AVM and ClearProp cover automated valuation. CDA and AURA cover appraisal review. PropertyNova covers tax, deed, mortgage and home price index data. No workflow licence is offered for a lender to run its own panel.
ValueLink names its integrations, Clear Capital names its channel
ValueLink publishes an explicit list rather than a category summary. Named LOS connections include Encompass, Byte, Dark Matter, Vesta, MeridianLink Mortgage, Calyx, FICS and Blue Sage. Named ordering platforms include Mercury Network, AppraisalPort, LenderX, Connexions, Reggora and Jaro. GSE portals listed include Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and EAD submission. Review integrations include Clear Capital, ACI, RealView, Appraisal Shield, Veros and Valligent. Clear Capital routes its own integration story through Encompass Partner Connect. ValueLink treating Clear Capital as an integration shows how the two fit together.
Volume claims neither side has evidenced
ValueLink states it handles one in four American mortgage valuations each year. It cites 400 billion dollars of property appraised year on year. It cites more than 300 lenders and AMCs and a marketplace of more than 40,000 appraisers. The homepage cites more than 20 LOS and ordering connections. The integrations page cites more than 70 platforms. Those two counts do not agree and should be reconciled during the demo. Clear Capital cites more than 20,000 real estate experts and 6 million monthly transactions. All of these are vendor stated and unverified.
Who owns each business
ValueLink was founded in 2010 by Farrukh Omar and is based in Houston. It operates as a division of Spur Global Ventures Inc. No funding rounds or investors are published anywhere on the site. Clear Capital was founded in 2001 and sits in Reno. GTCR took majority ownership on 8 July 2025. Clear Capital acquired CubiCasa in 2021 and announced the Restb.ai deal in May 2026. Staff cuts of 27 percent and 24 percent landed in late 2022 and early 2023.
Neither publishes a price
No rate card appears on either vendor site. Ask ValueLink for licence cost by edition and per order transaction fees. Ask about implementation, data migration and integration build charges. Ask Clear Capital for per product pricing across every appraisal line. Ask both for a written turn time and revision rate service level. Then compare each quote against fully loaded cost per closed appraisal today.
Which one to pick
An AMC or a lender running its own panel should buy ValueLink. The named LOS and GSE connections do the plumbing an in house operation needs. A lender with no appraisal operations staff should buy Clear Capital. Orders go out and reports come back without any hiring. Ask ValueLink to reconcile the 20 plus and 70 plus integration counts. Ask Clear Capital what share of orders miss the quoted turn time.
