Bonzo wins 2 of 5 axes. Same rubric, same weights, no sponsorships.

What a loan officer gets on day one

Bonzo is built around outbound conversation. Its own framing is conversations at scale, through automation and direct outreach. Text, voice, video, and email run from one campaign builder. A loan officer can start working a lead list the week it lands. Salesforce Sales Cloud gives a data model and nothing mortgage specific. Stages, templates, and compliance logging all have to be built before launch. That gap is measured in months, not days.

Bonzo publishes a price, and that is only the start

Bonzo lists $150 per seat per month on its Solo tier. The Small Team tier shows no dollar figure at all. Enterprise is custom. A MonitorBase connection is sold as a premium add on with no published rate. The pricing page lists no setup fee, no minimum seats, and no contract term. Capterra lists a $200 per month starting price, which does not match the vendor page. Ask Bonzo for the Small Team seat price and the messaging overage rate.

What the Salesforce path actually costs a mortgage shop

Salesforce publishes $25 to $550 per user per month for Sales Cloud. Financial Services Cloud starts at $325 per user per month. Those are list prices for software alone. Agentforce and Data Cloud sit outside those numbers as separate purchases. Ascendix puts Salesforce implementation between $10,000 and over $200,000. It puts data migration at $5,000 to $50,000 on top. ICE prices its Encompass Connector for Salesforce from $5 per loan per month, plus setup. ZipRecruiter puts the average Salesforce admin salary at $98,862. Against a $150 Bonzo seat, that math moves fast.

LOS connections Bonzo has already wired

Bonzo documents live connections to Encompass, LendingPad, Arive, and MeridianLink Mortgage. It also documents Floify, Sales Boomerang, MonitorBase, and Zapier. Lead sources shown include Zillow, LendingTree, Realtor.com, and Bankrate. No pricing engine integration is named anywhere on those pages. The Encompass setup carries conditions worth reading before signing. It needs Banker Edition and administrator access at the lender. A beta group runs before any company wide rollout. Prospects will not import if the loan officer email does not match Bonzo’s table. Records with neither phone nor email are skipped.

The billing complaints sitting in Bonzo’s review record

Bonzo holds 4.0 on G2 from 34 reviews and 3.0 on Capterra from 11. That Capterra set is small but specific. One reviewer describes an 80% price increase with no warning. Another reports charges continuing for eleven months after asking to cancel. A third mentions an administration and setup fee absent from the pricing page. Salesforce holds 4.4 on G2 from 25,877 reviews and 8.8 on TrustRadius. Salesforce reviews come mostly from outside mortgage, so read them for platform fit. Get Bonzo’s cancellation terms and price change notice period into the contract.

Who owns each one now

MMI acquired Bonzo in a deal announced on 2 August 2023. MMI then bought MonitorBase in February 2025. Bonzo’s founders and CEO Chad Jampedro stayed on after that deal. Bonzo now sits inside a data company that sells borrower alerts. That helps lead supply, and it also ties roadmap calls to MMI. Salesforce bought Informatica for $8 billion in May 2025. It also cut customer support from about 9,000 people to 5,000. Benioff attributed that to AI agents handling half of support cases.

Which one to pick

A branch or a small team of loan officers should take Bonzo. Speed to lead starts immediately, and cost per funded loan stays visible. An enterprise lender with a Salesforce team and a wider book should build on Sales Cloud. The mortgage layer costs real money, but the borrower record then lives beside everything else. Budget for a partner and a full time admin either way.

Ask Bonzo to show the Small Team seat price and the notice period for rate changes. Ask to watch an Encompass sync run live, not in a slide. Ask Salesforce for a named mortgage customer at your funded volume. Ask what that customer paid to reach go live.
